    Dr. Chetan Bettegowda, Professor of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, delivered the 17th Brian D. Silber Lecture at Massachusetts General Hospital. His lecture focused on the genetic understanding of brain and spinal cord tumors.

The Brian D. Silber Memorial Fund supports spinal tumor research, clinical services, and educational programs.

Through our collective efforts, Brian’s Fund has provided support for essential research and has given many patients access to the best possible treatments for spinal tumors.

It was Brian’s hope that his fund would improve the lives of spinal tumor patients and someday help to eradicate spinal tumors.

We hope that you will join us in perpetuating Brian’s dream.

The Brian D. Silber Memorial Fund will team up again with the Mass General Cancer Center Eversource 5K Run-Walk on September 15, 2024 in Boston, MA. Details coming soon!

Dr. C. Rory Goodwin, Director for Spinal Oncology, Surgical Director for the Duke Center for Brain and Spine Metastasis, and Associate Professor at the Duke University Medical Center, delivered the 18th Brian D. Silber Lecture at Massachusetts General Hospital on April 18, 2024. The MGH community was thrilled to learn from him about treatment decision-making by spine tumor patients and providers. His expertise on spine tumor challenges was much appreciated.
